Getting Your Home Market-Ready: the Staging & Decluttering Process
Once all of the paperwork is complete, I’ll walk through your home room by room with you to create a comprehensive list of items that need to be decluttered, furniture that needs to be moved or put in storage, and together we’ll determine whether we need to bring in a professional stager to stage either certain rooms or the entire property.
If your home is vacant, staging can be a game-changer in helping buyers envision how the space feels when lived in. I work with a trusted stager who can furnish and style key areas—like the living room, dining room, kitchen, and primary bedroom—creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that highlights the home's best features.
If your home is already furnished, staging can still play an important role. The stager I recommend will work with you to thoughtfully arrange your existing furniture, reimagining layouts to enhance flow and functionality. They can also suggest subtle additions—like artwork, décor, and lighting—that create an unforgettable first impression.
I’ll discuss your needs and recommend a stager who aligns best with your goals, ensuring your home is showcased in the most appealing way. Once a stager is chosen, you’ll work with them directly on payment and final touches. Here are some great before and after photos highlighting why staging a vacant home is so important.
Here is my complete Staging and Decluttering Checklist. Remember, I’ll create a personalized list just for your home. Once the staging/decluttering is done, let me know so I can schedule an appointment with my photographer to take professional photos of your home
